Safety Policy
At Columbus Ship Management Private Limited, we believe that high-quality and efficient manning support is essential for safe and efficient ship operations. Our management and staff are committed to ensuring that all officers and crew are adequately qualified, trained, and knowledgeable in safe working practices for personnel safety and environmental protection. They perform their duties with diligence, care, and efficiency to enhance customer satisfaction. CSM adheres to all applicable rules, regulations, and the ISO 9001-2015 standard, striving for continual improvement in crew skills and competencies. We aim to enhance our service quality and customer satisfaction through ongoing improvements in our quality system. We promote a safe work environment by encouraging safety practices, taking preventive actions to avoid hazards, and providing continuous training and re-training for safety management skills. Masters and authorized personnel onboard ensure that our management system is properly executed and closely followed.
Quality Policy
For the seafarers recruited by us, is defined as below :
- The Seafarer is responsible for the correctness, currentness and validity of data provided by him in the Application Form.
- The Seafarer shall be adequately certificated and experienced for the post and type of vessel, he is supposed to join.
- The Seafarer shall maintain discipline on the vessel and must obey the orders of the Master of vessel.
- The Seafarer shall use personal safety gears on the vessel.
- The Seafarer shall not consume, handle or deal in drug trafficking or alcohol on the vessel.
- The Seafarer shall by physically fit and capable of undertaking all the duties and jobs of his rating.
- The Company will not re-employ any crew member who has been found guilty or disobedient or advised unfit by the customer.
